  - Damon Sloan -
Why The University of St. Francis

Damon Sloan is the Vice President of Student and Alumni Affairs at the University of St. Francis, and has been at USF for 9 years.  Damon is a Morris Native.  He was first at our Rotary 26 years ago for the National Honors Society at MCHS and for the last 6 years he has been the secretary as Joliet Rotarian.

University of St. Francis has 44 Undergraduate Programs, and a new Digital Audio Recording Arts Program.  Currently they have 4166 enrolled students, of which 87 are international students.

In the last few years the University has had a few capital projects underway including a few new buildings/locations in Joliet and new parking lots.  In 2015, a building was donated across from the Rialto and is the new Criminal Justice Building.  The Nursing College received a new building with state-of-the-art labs in 2016.  This February they opened the "Brown Science Hall" for pre-nursing, Biology, Chemistry, BioChemistry, and Physics.  The new parking lots are just off campus and they had to tear down houses to make the lots.
