Rhythm of Our Youth Morris Hospital

The Rhythem of Our Youth program takes us into the schools and do Cardiac Screenings of ALL the students at our local high schools. The screenings for this year inlcude Ottawa HS, Gardner-South Wilmington HS, Coal City HS, Morris HS, Seneca HS, and Premier Academy.  These screenings are FREE to all students.
Kaleb Beck had been found on the floor after getting up out of bed in the morning with no known problems before and succumed from Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

There are 325,000 deaths a year from SCA - Sudden Cardiac Arrest of which 60 young adults and children a week  usually with no symptoms until a minute before death.  A large number of these deaths could be prevented with having an EKG.

Morris HS screens all students not just the athletes because this effects all students not just the athletes.  "3 minute EKG's" is all it takes.
                                                         ** Want to volunteer? **

They have training at 6pm the night before at the HS and could always use more help.
